Technical Specifications
The easyPreventer is designed to make downwind sailing safer and more controlled by preventing accidental gybes.
The system works by attaching one end of the polyester line to the outer end of the boom, then leading it forward through an Olli Low Friction Ring fixed on a bow cleat using its sheathed Dyneema® loop, and finally back to the cockpit. This setup lets you manage the preventer entirely from a safe position, without leaving the helm.
Once rigged, the boom stays stable and secure, preventing it from swinging unexpectedly toward the centerline during broad reaches or runs — for greater safety and comfort at sea.
If you want to have it rigged on both sides of the boat to manage controlled gybes, simply purchase two kits, as each one equips a single side.

How it works
The easyPreventer secures the boom preventer line and avoids accidental gybes when sailing downwind. Attach one end of the line to the outer end of the boom, rig the low friction ring to a bow cleat with its sheathed Dyneema® loop, then lead the line through the ring and back to the cockpit for full control from a safe position.
