I have lewmar 30 and 60 hatches on my moody 336. Like many boats with these hatches, the deck slopes away from the hatch base and the non slip grp begins close to the hatch base. Two problems; 1.. the curve of the deflector is not compatible with the corner curve of this popular hatch and the slope means the deflector angles away from the hatch. 2.. the proximity of the non slip surface to the hatch means that the 3m vhb tape is unlikely to grip. For me this has been a waste of money . Also a significant delivery charge and some delivery delays and communication problems.

Hi, we’re sorry the Rope Deflector wasn’t suitable for your setup. The product images on our website show a Lewmar Low Profile 44; in your case, the main issue seems to be the limited smooth surface available for the adhesive. Our customer care replies within 24 hours, while shipping costs are set by the couriers and we already cover part of them for non-EU deliveries. We’re launching a larger version and would be happy to send you one free of charge.
Hi,
Problem solved ! Before we used to put an elastic around our hatch always afraid to forget to put it on. Stress gone ! Thx for the good tip ! We will be sure to spread the word :-) Michel S/Y TEQUILA

Thank you Michel! So happy to hear the Rope Deflector solved the problem and took the stress away.
Enjoy sailing on S/Y TEQUILA! ⛵️
Easy to install and efficient
It could be white instead of black
product is ok, but the corners on my hatch have a much larger radius than the protectors, so I needed to bend the protectors further open. Despite cleaning the gelcoat with acetone and leaving 24 hours after sticking down, the glue has not stuck well. It's an expensive product to be semi-successful.
The angle on the moon is something less than 90 degrees so that when the points touch the hatch there is a gap between the center of the moon wedge and the hatch; however it works as advertised if not perfectly matched to the rounding of the hatch.
The Rope Deflectors worked great! Just sailed about 650 NM, and the jib sheets no longer snagged in the forward hatches of my sailboat. Well worth the money spent!
Works exactly as advertised. We used one each on the outboard corners of a opening cabin port light to deflect inhauler lines running across the cabin top.
Shipping was fast!
The "lip" surface around my hatch is smaller and a different shape than the rope deflectors. So I had to "form" the deflectors to fit.
Otherwise installation was straight forward and easy.
Time will tell if they stay attached to the fiberglass because of the side force from my shaping them to fit.
I have no doubt that they will prevent the sheets from jamming under the hatch cover.
Dispatched quickly but UPS then slowed down and "delivery by Friday " became the following Monday.
I like the concept of the protectors, however we have a small hatch causing problems which needs a smaller radius. Also our deck doesn't have enough flat area for a proper fit adjacent to the hatch.
I assume it works well with many vessels, but sadly not ours.
By far the most common hatch is the Lewmar Ocean Series. The rope deflector was designed around a hatch with a much larger corner radius. The deck on our boat was designed with only a small section of smooth surface around the hatch so the deflector did not fit well. I bent the deflector to match the radius of the hatch and to adhered it to the deck. It had to be bent quite a bit and I am concerned about long term ability of the adhesive to hold it into the distorted shape. Otherwise it looks like a great design. Perhaps providing more information on your site about the radius of the presenter and what is allowable bending to fit. Also offering an addition version with a smaller radius for ports and other hatch designs would be helpful.
For years I tried to solve the problem of the sheets getting stucked around tthe portholes ! I have tried several different solutions , but nothing has shown as efficient as yours
